Extension Brands
Brand extensions are units that exist for a reason other than to serve university audiences. While extension units bring great value to UNI, their focus is primarily on serving external audiences. Examples include the Tallgrass Prairie Center, Iowa Waste Reduction Center and UNI Bookstore.
While most campus units will lock up under the primary logo moving forward, brand extension units will continue to use their existing marks at this time until a more thorough strategy has been developed. Brand extension logo discussions will take place spring 2021, with the goal of having guidelines completed and any new logos as appropriate starting to be utilized by fall 2021.
